After applying local anesthesia, a fine cannula is inserted through tiny incisions to gently suction out excess fat from the flanks. The procedure takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the area. The goal is to enhance the natural waist curve without overcorrection. No stitches are needed, and the incisions are barely visible once healed.
You may experience mild bruising, swelling, or tenderness for a few days. A compression garment is worn for 1 to 2 weeks to support healing and reduce swelling. Most patients resume daily activities within 1–3 days. Avoid intense exercise for one week.
