The process
A skin-improving treatment with a skin booster always starts with a personal intake at Ageworth. One of our doctors will discuss with you your goals, wishes, and needs before the treatment. Do you want to address volume loss or simply want better-hydrated skin? By listening to you, we can come up with the ideal treatment plan, combining our expertise with your wishes. If you agree with the treatment plan, we can schedule the treatment, optionally right after the intake.

The treatment
Every injectable treatment starts with a thorough cleaning and disinfection of the skin. The cosmetic doctor then marks the injection points according to the treatment plan. Profhilo or Radiesse Hyper-Diluted is injected with a needle or a blunt cannula, depending on the area to be treated and your skin type. After the injection, the area is gently massaged to allow the substance to spread evenly. After the treatment, you will receive extensive aftercare tips so that you can enjoy the treatment for as long as possible. A skin-improving treatment with Radiesse Hyper-Diluted or Profhilo lasts an average of 45 minutes (including intake).

Aftercare
You do not need to recover from a skin booster treatment. You can continue your daily activities after the procedure. However, your skin may be slightly red and sensitive due to the injections. In some cases, small bruises may appear after the treatment, which usually disappear within a few days. Do not visit the gym, tanning bed, or sauna during the first week after the treatment. Wait at least two weeks before visiting a beautician. UV radiation can damage the treated skin more quickly. Therefore, try to avoid the sun as much as possible and always apply a sunscreen with at least SPF 30. A restorative, nourishing (scar) cream can help the skin recover faster after an injectable treatment.

Duration of Results
The skin-improving effect of Profhilo and Radiesse Hyper-Diluted becomes visible after one to three treatments. We recommend scheduling the treatments every four weeks. The result is visible after two months, as the skin needs time to produce collagen and elastin. You will enjoy the skin-improving result for an average of twelve to eighteen months. Afterward, your body will naturally break down the substance. The duration of the effect varies per person and depends, among other things, on your skin type and lifestyle.
