The process

If you agree with the treatment plan, we can proceed with scheduling the procedure.
The treatment
Labiaplasty is performed under local anesthesia. The surgeon marks the skin of the labia and removes any excess tissue. After the procedure, the blood vessels are cauterized, and the wound is sutured with dissolvable stitches. To absorb any potential wound fluid, we cover the wound with a sterile gauze pad. A labiaplasty typically takes about 60 minutes.
Aftercare
After a labiaplasty, you can leave the clinic after a 30-minute rest period. Keep in mind that you should not drive yourself after the procedure, so plan accordingly for your appointment. In the first few days following the labiaplasty, you may experience redness and sensitivity in the labia. This typically subsides within a few days. Avoid wearing tight pants during the initial weeks after the procedure, and be cautious when bending or lifting. Refrain from cycling, horseback riding, exercising, and sexual intercourse for the first six weeks. To aid in skin recovery, we recommend using a specialized scar cream.
