The process
A treatment for smoker lines at Ageworth always begins with a personal consultation. One of our doctors will discuss your goals, wishes, and needs with you before the treatment. Based on your story, the cosmetic doctor can advise you and create a personalized treatment plan. The treatment
Every injectable treatment starts with thorough cleaning and disinfection of the skin. Then, the cosmetic doctor marks the injection points based on the treatment plan. The filler is injected with a needle or a blunt cannula, depending on the area to be treated and your skin type. After injecting the fillers, the area is gently massaged, so that the fillers can distribute evenly. After the treatment, you will receive extensive aftercare tips so that you can enjoy the treatment as long as possible. A treatment for smoker lines takes on average 45 minutes (including consultation).
Aftercare
After a treatment for smoker lines, you don’t need to recover, and you can resume your usual activities on the same day. However, your skin may still be a bit red and sensitive due to the injections. In some cases, small bruises may appear after a filler treatment, which usually disappear within a few days. Don’t visit the gym, tanning bed, or sauna for the first week after the treatment. Wait at least two weeks before visiting the beauty salon. UV radiation can cause the treated skin to become more damaged, so try to avoid the sun as much as possible and always apply a sunscreen with at least SPF 30. A healing, nourishing (scar) cream helps the skin to recover faster after an injectable treatment.
How Long Does the Result Last?
The result of a treatment with muscle relaxants is usually visible for three to six months on average. The effect of a filler treatment often lasts up to a year. The body breaks down botulinum toxin and fillers naturally. How long the effect lasts varies per person and depends on factors such as your skin type and lifestyle. If desired, a follow-up treatment can take place.
