The process
At Ageworth, a lip augmentation filler treatment always begins with a personalized consultation. One of our doctors will discuss your goals, desires, and needs before the treatment. Why do you want to enhance your lips? What do you hope to achieve? It’s possible that lip augmentation may not be the ideal solution for you, and addressing marionette lines or nasolabial folds may yield better results. By actively listening to you, we can develop the best treatment plan together. The amount of fillers and the desired outcome will be tailored to factors such as your age and overall appearance, allowing us to reveal the best version of yourself with lip fillers. If you agree with the treatment plan, the lip augmentation filler treatment can be scheduled, optionally right after the consultation.

The treatment
Every lip augmentation filler treatment begins with thorough cleansing and disinfection of the lips and the surrounding area. Following this, the cosmetic doctor marks the injection points based on the treatment plan. Since lip filler treatments can be sensitive, we use a thin needle, and the area around the mouth can be numbed with a numbing cream. The filler is then injected using a needle or a blunt cannula, depending on the area to be treated and your skin type. After the lip fillers have been injected, the area is gently massaged to ensure proper distribution. You will receive detailed aftercare instructions to help maintain the results and enjoy your lip fillers for as long as possible. On average, a lip augmentation filler treatment takes 45 minutes, including the consultation.

Aftercare
There is no recovery period required after lip augmentation with fillers. You can resume your daily activities immediately following the procedure. However, you may experience some redness and sensitivity in the treated area due to the injections. In some cases, small bruises may appear, but they usually fade within a few days. During the first week after lip augmentation, avoid activities such as visiting the gym, using tanning beds, or going to saunas. Wait at least two weeks before seeing a beautician. UV radiation can damage the treated skin more easily, so it’s important to minimize sun exposure and always apply a sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Using a restorative and nourishing scar cream can help the skin recover faster after an injectable treatment.

Duration of Results
The results of a lip augmentation filler treatment typically last between six to twelve months. The body naturally breaks down the fillers over time. The duration of the effect varies from person to person and depends on factors such as skin type and lifestyle. If desired, a follow-up treatment can be scheduled.
